A great coat A great coat

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave this as a gift and they love it. The only problem was it seems to run small so I had to purchase a larger version .

great coat, but not for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

High quality, and nice design. Returned for two reasons: the sleeves are way long for me, and the placement of the belt and the belt loops is so high, they look funny. So, yes, I like the coat a lot and it fits me but I don't want to invest in alterations.

Not true to size & wrists too tight.

Coat did not fit like a small should and the wrists were so tight I couldn't look at my watch while wearing the coat.

    too small!

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: small

I have this coat from NorthFace in different material. It's a medium and little big on me, so I ordered a small in this coat. It was WAY too small. Narrow arms as stated by another reviewer and the when I zipped it, it was skin tight all the way down. I don't think I could have sat in the car in it.

    fit issue

    • Size Bought: small

This coat is a beautiful gray and the belt feels stylish and chic however the sleeves are so narrow! I have thin arms and tiny wrists and this felt uncomfortable despite the rest of the coat fitting well. I have an older season NF that is similar style and it has invisible zippers at the cuff - this would help tremendously. Sadly it was returned.

    Bring back the Original

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

I have an older version of this coat which I absolutely LOVE! ......which is why I was ordering another one in a different color. Unfortunately this newer version of the Northface Grace Apex Bionic trench coat isn't even a fraction as good as the original. The material the newer one is made from is much cheaper and not as wind or water resistant. The detailing on the new version is horrible. The zippers are incredibly inferior on the newer version. I could go on and on. Northface really cut corners with this newer version. For all of you that don't have the older version you will probably like this jacket. I happen to know what this jacket SHOULD be and WAS so I would not spend a dime on this new version. Bring back the original and I will buy two!!
Lastly, this newer version runs small in general but especially in the sleeves. And there is not much stretch in the shoulder area.

    Stands the test

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

I purchased this coat to use a winter jacket,as Maryland is not an extremely cold state. I wanted to wait a bit so I can truly put this coat through the ringer. Luckiky ilthe temperture frbthe past few days have been in the low 30's to high 20's and this was the ideal time to try my experimnet. Now for those wanting to purchase this coat please know it serves more as a rain jacket on cold days, however if you wear layers of clothes like me,can meet and serve you as a winter coat, whilst keeping you warm and dry. The sleeves are longer than usual, which believe was made that cway intentional to protect hands from getting those freezing winds.
