An optimal uphill-to-downhill ratio.

It's hard to say whether the Tecnica Women's Zero G Guide Alpine Touring Boot is better on the uphill than it is on the downhill. With a weight barely exceeding three pounds, this boot barely adds to the weight of your setup as you suffer up steep skinners. Yet, this boot boasts a flex of 105, which plenty stiff enough to keep you grinning on the descent. A boot this stiff handles any boundaries, from backcountry chutes to resort piste. Tecnica built this boot on a mid-sized last (99mm) that's snug and pre-punched to fit most foot shapes.

The Zero G Guide features Tecnica's brand-new C.A.S. shell, which uses a dimple structure to make heating and punching faster and more effective for bootfitters. Practically a roadmap for bootfitters, C.A.S. identifies your foot's hot spots and pressure points with ease, and paired with the comfortable Light Fit liner, you'll never feel pain for the rest of the season. The Zero G also features a rockered rubber sole that makes bootpacking a breeze, and you can switch out the boot's tech binding interface with DIN-certified soles for alpine bindings.
