Mach1 120 LV Ski Boot - 2018

Tecnica's Mach1 120 LV Men's Ski Boot might not be stiffest boot in Tecnica's Mach1 lineup—that honor goes to the Mach1 130—but it's still designed to charge through freeride territory with the same speedy zeal. The 120 flex won't be overwhelmed unless you're an an ultra-extreme ripper, and the ratcheting power strap and micro-adjustable buckles lock the shell and cuff down solidly against the liner, so you won't have to suffer slop just to enjoy killer performance. LV also signifies "low volume," which means the Mach1 is designed to provide a snug, precise fit for skiers with narrower feet.

You won't have to fight through pain just to enjoy a killer fit, though, because Tecnica designed the Mach1 to be as customizable as they come. It features a C.A.S. Ultrafit Pro Race heat-moldable liner for serious personalization, along with a C.A.S. bootboard and C.A.S. shell that are designed to be ground and punched by bootfitters to improve fit and alignment (C.A.S. stands for custom adaptive shape, if you're wondering). The Mach1 also sports Tecnica's Quick Instep panel, a softer piece of plastic around the instep that makes it easier and less painful to get your boots on and off.
