Why We Built The Tech Fleece Hooded Jacket

An essential in any backcountry setup, the fleece midlayer needs to perform without making us overbearingly hot. We made the Stoic Tech Fleece Hooded Jacket for added warmth in our kit that regulates body temperature and ensures mobility on the mountain. On the skin track, the synthetic blend keeps moisture at bay and delivers just the right amount of heat, and while we shred through powder, there's no cool moisture around to chill us to the bone.

Does it all - would buy again, but gone

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Surprised to find myself wearing this so often as a key layer for my winter activities - downhill ski, cross country ski classic or skate, hike, snowshoe and social. Fit is fine for your fit frame - lean cut and stretchy enough in the shoulders for cold weather skate skiing. I'm 6'2" 32" waist - the Large fits well without being tight or saggy hood is perfect fit over ski helmet - light and flexible when I'm not willing to mummy up into my heavier jacket shell hood.

Runs small and is feminine

The fit is very tight and appeared to be made more for a woman than a guy. I wouldn't recommend unless you are slim and even then, size up.

Hard to beat for the money.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I have noticed a lot of the stoic stuff that I have liked but didn't know if the quality there. They have had tons of stoic stuff on sale for the holidays and I decided to pick up a few of their things. Let me tell you the quality is excellent. I will buy more of their stuff.

Color Issues

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

The yellow is much darker than it appears in the pictures. Closer to gold than yellow.

Zipper Pull

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Great jacket material, excellent fit, looks good, everything about it was exactly what I expected with one exception. I received a jacket with the zipper pull tab on the left side. Since the zipper first appeared in North America the pull tab has been on the right side on jackets and everything else for men. Left side for women. The opposite is common in many parts of the world, especially in military surplus. After a lifetime of the tab being on the right, it is very difficult to change, especially in an emergency, dark, freezing weather, etc. and more so for me who has limited use of sime fingers on the left hand, Returned the jacket for credit to my account. Good customer service but I wish I had been able to get one with the zipper tab on the right.
