Daughter Loves this!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Bought for my daughter, she's a nurse and is always on the go. She also hates to be cold and this coat protects her from that. Loves the hood too!!

Sleeves on a medium

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: medium

I'm 5'10" 160 lbs and a typical Medium. This jacket fit weird, not sure if I'm going to return it or not as I had to wear it the day it arrived. The sleeves are very short! the drawstring waist doesn't sit at my waist so it looks kinda weird, like I have a super short upper body. I wouldn't recommend it.

Just barely 2 months later the zipper broke! I've contacted Backcountry and will hopefully have a replacement soon as the temps in NH are hovering in the single digits. I chatted and then emailed them yesterday morning. I recieved 1 email telling me not to email them again or I will loose my place in line?? Weird, I'll give it one more day but seriously most every online vendor gets back to folks in 24 hours! The item description states "limited lifetime warranty" lol I guess we'll see!

You better hope nothing goes wrong with any item you purchase!! I bought this back late October. A week ago the zipper broke. I contacted customer service and recieved an email "do not respond to this email and do not email again as you will loose your spot in the queue and be back at the bottom...." So I tried to be patient. Waited 4 days and reconnected via chat and was told I should have heard from someone and they "escalated" the issue with the warrranty dept (the item says like most of them "limited lifetime warranty" and it has only been 2 months). I was told on Friday I would 100% hear from them by the end of the day. Well, nothing. I just reconnected via chat again and this time was told I won't hear back for another week!!!!! Meanwhile, temps are in the single digits and I'm wearing my hsubands jacket as I had given my old one away to charity. In this day and age, why does it take a company 2 weeks to respond to a customer? Unacceptable.

Still not resolved. Today's chat person was the most ignorant of all. ugh.....the saga continues! Be careful what you buy here, their so called limited lifetime warranty is a joke.

Well, I finally received a replacement jacket, because of all the mix up they overnighted me one and I sent back the original. 2 weeks later....zipper broke again. ugh. returning and not getting another one.

Not very flattering

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XL

This coat wasn't very flattering when I tried it on. It's big, bulky, and made me look larger than I am. It bet it's very warm, but the fur wasn't soft or very nice, either. I'm so bummed -- the picture looks so cute!

I agree.

Drowning in it!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Small

I ordered a small and it was huge! The waistline drawstrings don't do much to help your figure either.

You were smart! Mine broke after 45 days and I'm on my second week trying to get them to honor their lifetime warranty!

Unanswered Question

Does anyone know if the fur trim is real or fake?

Way too big

  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

I am normal a medium, sometimes a large. And I get lost in this coat. It’s huge, and not flattering at all.

Great coat

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This jacket is really pretty, the color is super nice and the fur is an added bonus. This jacket did not fit me right, I ordered a medium and the sleeves were too short and it was to puffy for my liking. This could be a great coat for someone just not me.

Lucky for you, I kept it and it fell apart after a month and I'm fighting for a new one...don't believe the lifetime warranty on their items and their chat is useless! Wish I had followed your advice!
