For base layers Stoic relies on two proven fabric technologies: merino-wool and its own Breathe Composite material. Merino is nature’s wonder fabric. It breathes, insulates even when wet, and naturally repels odors—making it perfect for next-to-skin layers. Stoic also uses a merino-synthetic blend for a line of performance socks ranging from knee-high ski socks to no-show socks for desert trail runs. The Breathe Composite material is made from a blend of nylon, polyester, and lycra for maximum moisture control, breathability, and improved range of motion.  For shoulder-season outerwear and winter mid-layers, there’s a collection of softshell and fleece jackets that feature industry-leading fabric technologies from Polartec. For warmth on chilly days check out versatile synthetic insulation pieces like the Luft Anorak. When it comes to water-shedding outerwear, Stoic employs face fabrics that boast high waterproof and breathability ratings. For instance, the Vaporshell Jacket sheds water while offering a remarkable 46,000 g/m breathability rating—exactly what you need to stay comfortable while hiking in rainy conditions.  In addition to its collection of jackets, shirts, and pants, Stoic has complemented its lineup with essential gear for camping.
