Comfy but you need a pump

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This has two valves which appears to be able to customize your sleep for either side which is a cool feature. The pad is really comfortable and warm. I’m used to sleeping on camp pads or full air mattresses—this is way better than either of those!! It has memory foam but air to keep you off the ground. Our first night we actually over-inflated the mattress, but on night two we figured out the pressure we liked and slept better. The mattress absolutely needs a pump to deflate. Otherwise, you’ll be struggling with rolling it up. I have an intex cheap one and it fits the valves perfectly to inflate and deflate.

Horrible

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Does not inflate well / provide enough firmness. Description says "self-inflating", but doesn't inflate on its own. Even tried blowing into the inflate valve. Inflate value is wide and not compatible with any pumps I've seen. Came with no instructions. I was able to deflate it enough to get it back in the bag, then put it straight in the dumpster. Will not buy any Stoic or Backcountry brand gear so long as I live.

Really difficult to deflate

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Received as a gift and didn’t end up using because it didn’t end up fitting in our car. Inflated to check out and it’s definitely very comfortable and I imagine you’d get a great nights sleep! However, the take down is so frustrating. Trying to do this in a tight car or camping somewhere would be even worse, as we just did this in our living room. You have to use all of your weight to deflate and roll it. Once you’ve done that, good luck getting it back into its bag. The only time we tried, the bag immediately ripped even though we literally could not deflate it any further. Returning mostly because it doesn’t fit our car, but honestly trying to put it away to return it was so frustrating that I don’t even want it.

Great for car camping

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Super soft. I didn't have a pump and was able to blow up by mouth (took a little bit but it's doable). Definitely only for car camping or other situations where you don't have to bring it far (bulky/not light weight). We've also used it at home for company. Much better than a massive air mattress!

Wanted comfort…and it delivered!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Just returned from a car camping trip in Maine and this provided a great night’s sleep. It’s thick and comfortable. My or my wife’s movement on the pad was barely detectable and not an issue. It is big, so look at the dimensions both packed and inflated. It fit fine inflated in our three person tent and deflated fit in our Crosstrek. Because it’s big, it won’t be a quick inflate, but we set up camp, kept the inflate valve open (deflate closed) and when we returned a few hours later it took only a few manual puffs to achieve optimal firmness. Deflating you typically want to happen quickly so that was a bit of a wrestling match to squeeze out all the air, but maybe 5 minutes give or take it was ready to pack. Again, this was purchased for comfort and a good night’s sleep…it did not disappoint.

Very heavy and very bulky

It is incredibly heavy and takes a lot of space in the car. If I could return it, I would but I'm past the threshold for returns. I do not recommend if you want a mattress that takes little space once packed up.

Best nights sleep on a camp matt

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I go car camping 10-15 times a year, and a got tired of air mattresses constantly failing. So, me and my husband have just been sleeping on our backpacking mats for the last couple of years, which are not the most comfortable, but are reliable. We finally decided to bite the bullet and pay for a nice camp mat, and I'm so glad we did. Just spent the weekend camping on it, and this thing is almost as comfortable as my bed at home. Me and my husband also have a 65lb weight difference, and this bed doesn't make me rock about when he moves which is a huge bonus. Well worth the money and effort to deflate it (it's a bit of a pain, but well worth it imo). Yes, it's big, but not any bigger than the nice camp beds most of my friends have. Don't buy this if you're expecting to take it backpacking. But, for luxury car camping, this thing rocks.

The best portable mattress

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Mattress is Great! Inflation and deflation is easy and quick, some of these reviews on here are because of user error. The valve opens then the inflation/deflation rotates depending on what you want. The Size and weight are exactly what is in the specs, The R valve is what keeps you warm/hot. Got it inflated and then deflated it to put it back in the bag easily. The mattress is very comfortable and can get very firm if you air it up tight and softer if you let some air out.

Big bulky unnecessarily heavy

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Did they have a contest to see who could make the worst camping pad? Impressively huge and awkward. Considered keeping as a toddler bed. If you don't need to leave your house this could be a good option.
