Why We Built The Balsam Zero Gravity Chair

Our favorite indoor armchair wouldn't last a day outside, so we built the Balsam Zero Gravity Chair for optimal lounging comfort under the sun. The low-back and headrest adjustability let us dial in the perfect support, while the airy material keeps us from getting overheated on sweltering summer days. When it's nap time, we simply recline back and close our eyes.

Very comfy, but lots of downsides

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Pro: The chair is very comfortable which is clearly important. Cons: * It's massive. I'm 6ft1in and 170lbs. Yes, tall and skinny, but this chair is super wide. The chair is so big I'm afraid how much space two will take up in the back of our Suburban for a car camping weekend. * It's heavy; much heavier than the other two zero-g chairs we've got. I don't think my kids can even carry it. * To open it requires a lot of bending and pulling; it should be much easier. This is very frustrating. Ultimately, I would not recommend this chair, but I give it two stars solely for comfort.

I do not like this chair.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I do not like this chair because: you cannot raise the leg portion of the chair when you are in a sitting position. That is ridiculous. You have to be in a prone position for the leg portion to rise. And, it is very heavy. I wish I had not purchased it and the shipping cost to return it would not be worth it. Ridiculously expensive for such a poorly designed item.

You will likely fall asleep.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This chair is beyond comfortable. It's extremely stable, comfy suspension and the recliner feature is ridiculously comfortable. Comment below had a call out about the reclining function - there are two twist nobs on the side - you open them so the chair feels like it reclines - lean back and when it's in the position you want - twist them into the locked position (they will go tight) and you are good to go. Definitely do not add a blanket and a pillow to this set up otherwise you will wake up at sunrise well rested. 11/10 stars.

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought this as a gift; was received very well & everyone else who tries it out finds it extremely comfortable! Thinking about buying another, in fact…

This thing is outrageously comfortable

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought this as a camping chair, but loved it so much that I now use it as my patio furniture. In fact, I loved it so much I bought a second one. The only issue I have is this thing, is it not coming with instructions on the proper way to lock the reclining setting and how to return from a recline properly. It's just a guessing game but it seems like its common sense. I just hope the way I'm doing it is correct. Other than that, this products is crazy amazing and will be using this as a gift for my fellow camping friends.
