Anywhere use

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've owned this cooler for 2 years. It gets used for everything. On the beach, biking to the beach, camping, at the lake, on the boat, and in the car. Fits perfectly on the passenger seat or behind the front seats for your passenger to reach back and grab food or drinks. Stands up right in the sand, on the boat, in a canoe. Great for walking around the campground with your kids by the pool or river. You can attach things with carabiners on the front. Keeps things cold for a while even in the summer sun dumping some ice in or putting a block of ice on the bottom.

Perfect day cooler

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I love this cooler on my boat for an easy access drink cooler, or for a Red Butte show, or when it rides shotgun in my truck... You know what, i like it in just about any context. Its big enough that you can bring a good amount of food/drink with you, and sturdy enough that you can pop it on your back and hop on a bike. I expect to be using this cooler for years to come!

Winner for the price!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

There are not a great deal of comparison videos on this, so I too ka gamble and it looks like it paid off. The reality is for this price, it punches WAY above its value. Pros: - Build quality is better than expected at the price. - Padding is sufficient for full day trips. - Base is solid, so its not tipping over unless you push it. - Design is simple and clean. Plenty of places to attach things to if you want. - The noted 24 can capacity is easily reached and exceeded. Without forcing anything, I can actually get 28 cans in. Or keep it at 24 and add some ice or ice blocks. Cons: - Its true the zipper is not waterproof. It closes well, but water will get out if its full of ice, and its tipped on its side. Personally, that's not a deal breaker since its so well designed to stand upright... So far I have not ran into some scenario where it needed to lay down full. The rest is waterproof. - The description on this website is incorrect. The volume on the tech specs is way to high. The capacity noted is correct (well actually understated). My family goes outdoors as much as we can. We have a range of coolers for different occasions. Big to small, expensive to cheap. I am not some "expert", but some of them get use weekly so I do have expectations and personal preferences. What we didn't have was the perfect day trip cooler. We had some a little too small for a family of four to spend the day out. We could grab a bigger one and they work, but now you have the added logistics of a bigger than needed cooler to move around. To my point, we seem to be taking more day trips so I started to explore and landed on these 20-30 can backpack coolers. Drilling down price vs. quality vs. needs - this one came out on top for our family. Will it beat the Yeti backpack? No (well technically, at the time of this writing those are getting recalled so.. ouch), but it will perform about 90% the same at around a quarter of the price.

great backpack cooler

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Used this for tailgating instead of carrying around a big handled cooler and this works perfectly. I got the bright orange, which stands out and feels durable. I wish there was a black or dark option, as it might stay a little cleaner. Handles feel sturdy, zipper, while not waterproof, feels heavy duty. The front flap is basically just for show, but the magnet is kinda nice for when you are pulling things in and out rather than zipping every time. Overall a very attractive cooler and comfortable even when fully loaded at a great price. If stoic wants to makes some improvements, i would say make the inside blue plastic liner a little tighter and maybe add a couple side pockets for coozies, sunscreen, etc. Also, not sure where this little bird logo came from, bring back the old S logo!

Leaks & Does not keep ice well.

Love the shape and size of this product. It keeps it's form well. Bought it to supplement my Ice Mule and Yeti for a music festival. But after the 1st use over an 11 day period I must report its a leaker. Water gets inside the cooler fabric and leaks on the person carrying it. Also does not do well with keeping ice. So IMO it's bad on 2 major points. The ICE Mule is a much better product for about the same money. I'm puzzled why other reviewers give it good ratings even when they mention that it leaks.

It Works

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

fairly comfortable to wear which is great, nice heavy duty material on the outside for durability and enough grab points to make this an easy everyday cooler to use or go on a quick jaunt with to a lake or quick hike you want to bring cold drinks with. there are a handful of drawbacks one major one being the zipper. it is not waterproof, so once your cooler gets sloshie with some ice water it?s bound to find it?s way out through the zipper. another little hiccup is that the liner feels super thin, so if youre a savage and you like crush your cans and throw them back in the cooler i wouldnt suggest doing that with this as you run risk of tearing the liner. All in all it?s a decent cooler. Good for quick grab n go situations

Great Cooler

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have used this cooler mainly for my kids baseball tournaments and it?s perfect for that. Compared to the ridiculous priced lead brand cooler this is a no brainer. Yes the zipper may leak if tipped over but the cost difference makes up for that. This cooler is high quality and you won?t be disappointed.

Solid Cooler Backpack at a great price

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This cooler backpack is a great value. The welded seams and outer construction are durable and I would expect them to hold up for years to come. The insulation works well, especially for the price point of this product. That said, I would like to see a denser foam used to increase the cooling capacity. I'm also not sure how durable the inner rubberized material is, only time will tell. I would like to see the inner rubberized material bonded to the insulation for a more finished design. Overall, I am full satisfied with cooler, and for the price point I don't think there is a better product available. This cooler has plenty of room for drinks and snacks and the backpack design is ideal for hauling these goodies around. If packed properly with ice or ice packs this cooler will keep your goodies cool for more than 36 hours. I haven't tested the true cooling limit but for the price of this product I doubt there is anything better on the market. The updates I would like to see would likely drive the overall price up. With that in mind, I think Stoic has done an amazing job balancing function and value with this product, and it's nice to see the brand is continuing to offer value-minded products that punch well above their weight in terms of features and functionality. I would give this product a 3.5 stars if I could. I am basing my rating off of Yeti being the gold standard, 5 star product and when compared in price this cooler is an amazing value. If you don't need the status symbol associated with a Yeti cooler I would highly recommend you take a look at this cooler.
