Warm but weak

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got a pair of these gloves for myself and my little brother. I ran Fossil Creek down in AZ this past weekend and the gloves are already starting to come apart at the seams.
It was pretty rough conditions with us running the upper section as well but it's still a shame that they'd start wearing out after the first couple uses.
The curled fingers actually do make it easier to keep a grip on the paddle. Sometimes thicker gloves are uncomfortable but these were great! I'd say they're worth what they're selling for right now (13.98) but I'd never pay full price for these. Stohlquist does have a great warranty program so hopefully they'll back it up!

Warm but weak

no wet fingers

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Oregon water is getting chilly needed a little more

Not durable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, these gloves are shoddy. They function fine, but after 3 kayaking sessions the thumb material has worn almost all the way through. My boyfriend also got the same gloves and he already has holes in them. Spend your money elsewhere.

Worst product ever.

On the first use these gloves literally fell apart by the seams where the grip meets the neoprene. The gloves looked like a great product but didn't even stand up to one use.

Worst product ever.

Probably best for kayaking.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The pre-curved fingers are probably fine for kayaking, but for rowing, I didn't like them very much because it takes some effort to straighten your fingers when you need to do other things than just hold the oar.
