Do you trade beers for rides to the mountain? Are dollar-priced fast food a staple of your diet? Does your sleeping quarters consist of a cot pitched in your friend's unheated garage? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Stepchild Dirtbag Snowboard is definitely for you. It offers a softer freestyle flex and dependable durability at a price that even you can afford.
Normally only found on higher-end boards, the asymmetric sidecut is deeper on the heel edge to make your heelside carves feel as natural and powerful as your toeside turns. The flat camber profile isn't as catchy as traditional camber and it doesn't feel as loose as its rocker counterparts. Overall, flat camber provides a stable, predictable baseline for the Dirtbag's riding personality, meaning you'll be able to ride it across the entire mountain, from park jumps to tree stashes.
Delving inside the Dirtbag's back-to-basics construction, you'll find Stepchild uses a full poplar wood core for reliable strength and a smooth-flexing feel. ABS tip and tail protectors prevent damage when you inevitably smash the tips into freestyle features. It's finished with biax fiberglass for a buttery-soft torsional flex and an extruded base for quick glide without it requiring regular waxing like its sintered counterparts.
