Perfect snow city boot

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this as a gift for my cousin to use for her first winter (ever!). She is living in Boston, MA and these are great 'out and about' boots on snowy days. She loves them and they fit true to size and room for bulky socks. Comments below say its cheaply made which i do not agree. This is the step down from the Joan of Arc boot, so try not to judge it to that. Your feet will stay warm and dry with these boots

Cheaply made, and no support

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really wanted to love these as they're a bit nicer to wear to work over the joan of artics. They feel very flimsy and cheap. The shoe laces also feel very raw and cheap as well. Bummer. ...

Cute, but did not fit as expected

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

These Sorel's are super cute, as expected, but although I bought my 'normal' size in Sorel's, my heel slipped with every step. Ended up returning and purchasing the Joan of Arcs which are a bit more heavy duty, but fit better.

No ankle support. Cave in

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These boots are so warm but they make you roll your ankle there is no support and they cave in right at your ankles.

Wonderful customer service, great boot!

I've had my eyes on these boots for a while and figured it was time to purchase. I have had to order Sorel boots in a 0.5-1 size higher in the past so I ordered these boots in size 8 thinking that sizing up a 0.5 size would be adequate. Actually this was a mistake. My advice would be, if you have normal to medium width feet with a 7.5 shoe, stay with 7.5. I called customer service and they were extremely professional and accommodating, even shipping me my new boots overnight without extra charge as I had had the first pair expedited for a trip out of town. The new pair arrived not even 24 hrs later! Thank you for great boots (which I love!) and being so helpful!

    Super Comfy

I got this shoe for my wife. She liked it. She said it was super comfy and warm.

Super cute, but too much heel lift

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The boots are super cute and good quality. They seem really warm too. But I will be returning as not matter what thickness of sock (even super thick insulated thermal socks) I wear I get lots of heel lift within the boot as I walk, which is not really comfortable. Perhaps I got a 1/2 size too big (I wear 9, and bought 9.5). With the thick thermal socks the foot bed fits good but still get heel lift. I was looking to wear these with regular cotton or light wool socks so this is not the boot for me. I had tall North Face boots and they kept my heel from lifting but as they are right below the knee, they are a pain to lace every time.
I think this fits true to size (I usually wear 9, but buy 9.5 in winter boots). The 9.5 is too big with normal socks but might work for some with thick socks.
Also the calf curve at the back of the boot seems to be for shorter women (I am 5 7 and the calf cut out sits well below my calf...I think this looks kind of funny. I can put my whole hand in there behind my leg with the boots laced tight.

    Sorel Tofino

Bought these as a gift for my best friend and she loves them. She lives in rural Connecticut and was looking for something warm she could shovel the driveway in, but also wear around town when it's snowy and look cute. Great gift!

      warm and comfortable

I bought these for my wife and she has loved them. from shoveling snow to walking around the mall, to playing in the snow. these are a great boot

      Great Snow Boots

These are my first real pair of snow boots, and I love them!! They are super comfortable and lightweight. Plus they are really warm, I wore lighter socks with them and they still kept my feet warm. Would highly recommend getting them.

        Cute, lightweight snow boots!

        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 8

I'm a dog walker and on my feet all day. Needed a pair of boots for the NYC cold, snow and icy slush. I'm either a size 7.5 or 8 and have slightly narrow feet. I ordered the size 8 in Peatmoss and fit is perfect with a little room to wear thick socks if needed. I did try a 7.5 but returned as my big toe reached the front and for all day walking I know it would have been uncomfortable. Love the look, it's lightweight and is not bulky. I have to add, you can't go wrong with the sale price. The only con I have I wish the fur was removable.

Thanks for a great buy and quick delivery backcountry!

        Bought these as a gift

          My mom loves these boots

          Travel worthy Sorel's

          • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
          • Fit: Runs large

Here is what my friend had to say:
I like that these boots are not as heavy as the Joan of Artic boots. They have a similar look but are much more sleek and light weight. I bought these for my winter travels through ski resorts while touring around. Since they are lighter than the Joan of Artic they don’t weigh down my luggage or my feet. My one complaint is that they could have been a bit more insulated without adding much bulk. While my feet did stay dry they also got a bit cold.

As for sizing, I wear a size 7 ½ usually and actually had to downsize to a 7 even with my winter ski socks.

          Warm and stylish

I got these for my mother, and she loves them. She loves the look and color. She wore them in Jackson hole, with temperatures from -6 to mid 20s and stayed warm with normal socks. Great traction on ice, and waterproof.

          So comfy and warm!

Bought these for the babysitter as a present. She cannot stop talking about them. They fit pretty true to size. She normally wears an 8 and got an 8 and they fit perfect. Some of the warmest boots she has ever worn!

Who doesn't love Sorel? Gifted these to my sister in-law who is a hater of winter and lover of everything warm. So it was necessary to get her some warm boots that she could wear everywhere and look good while staying comfortable. She wears them around town and sledding and everything in between.

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times
          • Fit: True to size

These boots are SO cute. Stylish and practical. The beige color is perfect for any outfit. I like that they are narrow looking and don't make my feet look huge. I ordered my regular size and they worked great. LOVE them!

          Mom's Review of the boots

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times
          • Fit: True to size

I’m very happy with these Sorel boots. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The craftsmanship is of high quality. The transition from sole to upper is seamless on the interior. And well finished on the outside. The sole is robust and should stand up to all kinds of weathers.

My mom wears a size 8.5. She loves the boots and uses them primarily in the winter. She doesn't use them for anything much more adventurous than shoveling the front steps, as well as walking around town in the snow, or from the car to church on Sundays.

          Returned but here's the review

          My girlfriend tried these boots here is her review;

I ultimately returned these because they weren't quite what I was looking for, for every day winter wear but if you're looking for a boot that's a bit more lighter weight than others, and a little more stylish this could be the boot for you.

          Sorel Tofino Boot

          • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
          • Fit: True to size

My girlfriend was in need of a new pair of snow boots, so I decided on the Sorel Tofino Boot for her birthday. It took her a while to buy into them, but overall she has been happy! Below she has provided some additional feedback.

"At first I thought these boots were too stiff, but once they softened up they became quite comfortable. They keep my feet warm and dry and are less bulky than the Caribou series. With that being said, I do not think they are as warm as the Caribou boot. They offer great traction from the thick rubber soles, but I would consider this more of a cute boot than heavy duty."
