Why We Like the Joan of Arctic Wedge II Chelsea Boot

Originally sold to men and women of the eighteenth century as a walking shoe, the Chelsea boot remains our favorite boot for weekend outings when trips and tasks abound. With Sorel's Joan of Arctic Wedge II Chelsea Boot, our feet are prepared for every adventure no matter where the day may lead. Its waterproof full-grain leather is tough enough to shake off sidewalk slush outside the grocery store, and the rubber sole delivers a reliable grip over roots, rocks, and wet terrain. Thanks to a stretch fit and durable heel tab, slipping the shoes on or off without getting dirty is a breeze.

TOO SMALL

THESE SHOES ARE AMAZING I THINK THEY WOULD BE COMFORTABLE HOWEVER THEY RUN SLIGHTLY SMALL. I HAVE A TRUE 7.0 FOOT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER HAD TO RETURN A SHOE BECAUSE OF THE SIZE. OOPS I'LL TRY THE 7.5. HOPE THEY ARE PREFECT. THANKS THOUGH :)

All day on feet job winter wear

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I saw other people wearing these sorels in MN for years, now I get it. They are a truly comfortable footbed for the 6.5 hour day on my feet in a school. True to size with a normal sock. Versatile and the hearty sole grips to the snow when I walk outside. The color Quarry - a better name would be Vintage Black! It is actually not that worn patchy color as pictured. It is a uniform color with the ecru stitching giving it that mod look.

Small

I wear a 7.5-8 in all boots and shoes. Earlier this winter I bought the Joan with the zipper in a 7.5 (8 too big). Perfect fit even with a medium sock. Super comfortable 12+ hours. Ordered a 7.5 in these...way too narrow and tight around foot and heel. Almost crippling. :(

Elk Color looks worn & Old

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have been wanting these shoes in the white and camel color for a long time but finally gave in to buy another color (since my size never became available on Sorel). I am SO disappointed that shoes look worn and old already. The shoe itself is very comfortable and I would wear them all the time if it weren't for how bad they look. Can only speak for the Elk - you may have better experience with other colors.

Love them

Familiarity:

Absolutely love them. These are so comfortable and I agree the top of my foot hurt too but after that they were fine. They slip on and off easily.
