Great Winter Boot!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

This boot is bomber! Whether you're walking your dog across the sidewalk your neighbor has yet to shovel or your're up to your knees in snow helping a friend dig their car out, this boot does it all!

I work at ski resort in the winters and I used to always wear my casual shoes up to the mountain. At the end of the day though my feet would be cold and soaked. I finally decided I needed a pair of winter boots.

I wanted something that looked great and would also protect my feet from the snow and ice. While this boot isn't insulated I do find that it does a fantastic job at keeping my feet dry and as a result warm. Another down side about wearing street shoes up to the mountain is all the slipping while walking across the icy parking lot. The tread on the bottom of these boots solved that.

I usually wear a size 10.5 in street shoes but ended up buying a size 10. Even with my thick wool socks the 10.5 felt too large.

looking good, feeling good

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 10.5

These are stylish enough to kick it around town and durable enough to wear on a casual winter walk/hike. not the warmest boot in the world but is ok for a jaunt around town and quick hikes

Bad-A boots

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 7.5

True to fit. I wear a 7.5 and was lucky enough that I was able to FIND a pair on BC.com.

Anyway, I've been working up in PC for the past couple weeks and not once did my feet ever get wet during the 60 hours I was up there. They also do not look like a "work" boot. For example, I have worn them out on a few dates and parties and must say I've had many compliments.

Reason I'm giving a 4 star is because the rubber around the toe seems to be peeling slightly. I do plan on contacting Sorel and seeing what they can do for me. Other than that, these boots are super rad.

Solid Boot

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

This boot has a great look and functions well in the snow around town. I wear these to the office on snowy days and they are great battling the snow and also comfortable to wear inside all day.

Fashionably Dry

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 8.5

Bought these boots because I was sick of walking anywhere getting my shoes and feet soaked. After buying these boots they not only look really great they are also very comfortable and they keep your feet toasty and dry. I am planning on buying a couple more of these in different colors because they look so great! Thank you Sorel for once again producing a great product.

Solid Everyday or Around Town Boot

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 11.5 and 12

I love these boots. I wear them almost daily, through puddles and slush they have kept my feet dry. They are styled very well. They are super comfortable, and get more so as you wear them.

Sorel for dem boys

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 10

Great late fall and early spring boot for trudging through the light amount of water that covers the ground. Kept my feet dry during the beginning of winter, but I don't recommend using these as snow boots.

I love this boot and get many compliments on it. However I have had some issues with it:
- I typically wear a size 10.5-11 shoe, but after trying on the 10.5 sized down to a 10.
- After about a month of wearing these, a piece of the sole began to separate from the shoe and I hit up Sorel warranty. After about 3 weeks they sent me a new pair for free, but I did have to pay for shipping the shoes to them.
- The tongue of the shoe is a bit cumbersome when tying up the laces and doesn't tend to lay completely flat.

Overall a very stylish, male fashion geared boot for dem boys.

  • Fit: Runs large

First of all, I have to say I love these boots. I've been wearing them all day every day for the past two months and they have definitely exceeded my expectations. They're comfortable, warm, and waterproof. I have not yet once gotten my feet wet wearing these boots even after slogging through knee deep snow and icy slush puddles.

I do have a few gripes though.
1.They run about a half size big so size down. I normally wear a 12 and it's not that it's huge but it's roomy, which really isn't that bad, but it might be a bit too much for some people.
2. I don't like the tongue. It's soft and floppy in a way that's hard to describe and makes it so that when you're tying your shoes you have to tie both exactly the same way or one will feel tighter than the other. This might not be a problem for people without crazy OCD like me but I find it quite annoying.
3. The laces could work a little better with the lace hooks. As other reviews have stated, the laces can kind of loosen on the hooks and fall off. I think this is actually due in large part to the tongue because you can't tighten the laces enough to hold firmly against it.

Other than those three things, however, these are great winter and fall and probably spring boots and you should order them right now.

Looks Good

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 10

I looked over lots of reviews before buying these boots and I'll just say they are very well rated across the internet. The construction is nice and the leather seems quite durable. Just like any pair of snow boots they are sized slightly bigger to accommodate thick socks. I am a 9.5/10 in every shoe I have yet these were far too long for my feet. More importantly I have rather narrow feet and these shoes seem fit for someone with wide feet. Finally, the pictures seem to show it as a narrow boot, which is part of the reason I purchased them, but like I said they're quite wide fitted. Despite all that I still consider these great boots, just not for my feet.

Great Cool Weather Boots

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 9.5

These are the first casual boots I've owned. I normally wear sneakers or casual slip-ons, but decided to get these last winter. I'm so thankful I did! As others have mentioned, they are very comfortable. They're great for walking through the rain or light snow, but also to wear around the office every day. Since getting them, they're my go-to daily driver starting in the late fall. I haven't come across any issues yet, besides the laces coming undone occasionally. As for sizing, I'm normally a 9.5 in other shoes and I'm a 9.5 in these as well. If you're in the market for some casual boots, keep these on your list!

Great in-between-ers

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

When I ordered these boots they didn't have any reviews so I was a bit skeptical. I liked the style of them so I figured I would give them a shot. They are perfect for what I wanted, 'tweeners, that is, something for in-between seasons. The great Pacific Northwest can get a little wet, snowy and cold sometimes. These are perfect for when the snow isn't too deep and they are great when it's raining. I was able to test the waterproof feature immediately; walked around outside in the rain for about an hour and my feet were bone dry. In the snow or if it's a little chilly out, around 40, I think they are best paired with a wool sock. I find that to be the perfect combo, not too warm so my feet don't sweat, which is a problem that I have often. They fit true to size and look good doing it. So good, actually, that I ordered a brown pair as well. 10 out of 10 for casual, daily use in-between seasons.

Perfect for biking in Chicago winters

I love these boots. Backcountry was great, delivered these fast enough to get me covered before the temps took a nosedive this winter. These boots are perfect for the bike, not too bulky, yet nice and warm and waterproof. The size was true, with/without thick socks, and the tread has solid grip no matter what I am splashing through. The leather uppers are a bit thick, need more breaking in, but I like the stiffness when I slip off the bike, or have to stop quickly. Great boots all in all 10/10

Exactly what I was looking for

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I was looking for a great winter casual boot to wear to work and around town during our Utah winters. Needed to be waterproof, comfortable, not overly hot while in the office for 8 hours. These are just the ticket! Plus I really like the way these look.

I typically wear between 11-12 depending on the shoe and these in 11.5 are a perfect fit. They are a bit stiffer in the upper than a more soft fabric hiking boot and that took a little getting use to as my ankle was a little tender after the first time I wore them but that went away and it's fine.

I did notice that I have to keep the laces fairly tight or else they will come loose from the hooks in the upper, so wearing these loose isn't really an option unless you skip the top hooks.

Update- Just walked through my first blizzard wearing these through 5" of snow and the grip from the somewhat un-aggressive tread is surprisingly good, I was worried they would be slippery, but at least in this wet snow they are good. After getting back inside I looked at my boots assuming they would be covered in snow or leather wet, but they repel excellent, I can't even tell I had been outside other than a couple small beads of water.

Not much description on here. Wondering how warm they are. We have pretty harsh winters here in WI
