Survived a trip to ALASKA and back
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I recently purchased this kit for use on a weeklong excursion in Alaska. These units were lightweight, packable, and distributed heat nicely. Used them on my MSR Pocket Rocket stove, as well as a Coleman 2 burner, and they held up just find. Resisted dings and scratches. I do, however, wish that they were not the anodized surface, simply because I am wary of using my titanium spork against them. If there were a titanium option for this size cookset (and around the same price), I would have loved to have gone with that. Nevertheless, Snow Peak continues to make products that impress. I was very satisfied!
I am an avid believer in eating well when I'm camping. These pots are an awesome accompaniment to any camp kitchen set up.
They nest in one another and are a perfect size for two person meals. There is one handle for the two pans. Switching them between the 2 can be a pain.
The only downside to this set is the pans are coated with a teflon like chemical. So if you scratch the surface at all you're pretty much done for.
