Smith Virtue Goggle - Women's

Lookin' good, seein' better.

Small frames no longer have to mean small field of view. Smith's new Virtue Goggle uses a frameless design for a modern style and increased peripheral vision. The Virtue has a small, feminine look but it easily hangs with the big boys when to comes to performance.

Perfect for smaller faces.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Purchased it for mom, but the 8 year old borrowed it and it still fit well.

Great Gift

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my sister and this is what she said about them. "I love the goggles! I was skiing yesterday and they were great. It was a very sunny day and they took the glare away as well as felt very comfortable and much lighter in weight than my previous goggles.I also love the look of them. Thanks!"

For those with a smaller noggin :)

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have an existing pair of Oakley goggles with a rose lens that had served me well out East with primarily night skiing, but out West they often left me squinting on bluebird days, and they've always been a little too big. (I have a small, round face, and hats and glasses are often too big for me.) These Smith goggles fit MUCH better, and the Blackout lens provides just the right amount of shading without being too dark in full sun conditions. Very happy with this purchase!

Love

I love these goggles. Got the yellow ones (no longer in stock); they are polarized but not so much that they couldn't be worn under cloudy/overcast conditions.

I just picked these up and have used them once on a FREEZING cold day. They fit really well and don't fog up. Stay tuned for a more in depth review...

Love these goggles

Good thus far...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these babies on sale after my mother's old pair gave out on me. They ha€™ve performed well in most conditions, although flat light requires some blind faith (but that'€™s really just the reality of flat light). I am hoping this pair of goggles will be a placeholder for the next year or so until I'€™ve got the budget to invest in some interchangeable lenses.

Good thus far...
Unanswered Question

1) How's the breathability on these? Has anyone who generally has problems with goggles fogging used these with luck?

2) Are these goggles just more narrow or also smaller from forehead to nose? The look smaller in the picture but some of people's photos on face makes it look pretty big still. I'm looking for a goggle I can wear Fat Tire biking. The problem with my Oakley A-Frame and Giro Nine helmet is when I lean into the biking position, the back of the helmet pushes forward, which pushes the goggles down and smashes my nose! Otherwise I'm looking at either the Giro Field http://www.backcountry.com/giro-field-goggles-womens -or- Smith I/O S(mall) http://www.backcountry.com/smith-i-os-interchangeable-optic-goggle

Can anyone offer and help or measurements on the goggle from top/forehead to top of cut out for the nose?

THANKS!

Are the Saphire/Prism Ignitor lens the same as Ignitor Mirror? If not, what light conditions do they work in best?

didn't fit my smaller face

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I bought these and ended up returning them because they were way too big for my small face

Shnazzy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a tiny baby head and that includes a tiny face.

I really like that these fit just big enough. The Sol X mirror lenses are great for bright days, which we've been having a ton of here in UT. No problems with fogging. A good all around goggle.

Comfy on small faces

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

For years I've been using the smaller Oakley models (A-Frames, Elevate) but I decided to venture out and try Smith this season. I'm very happy I did. The Smith Virtue goggles sit snuggly and comfortably on my cheeks. I also have great peripheral vision with them. But my favorite feature for sure is the goggle strap - when Smith says "helmet compatible," they mean it. The strap is actually two separate pieces that connect via a buckle that sits behind your head. No more awkward struggling with the goggle trying to pull it up, down, or around your helmet!

Great goggles!

They are very comfy and light. They don't fog, and if they do, it dissipates quickly. The range of visibility is incredible, since they don't have big plastic attachments on the sides. I'm very happy with my purchase!

really cool

smith does a lot of cool stuff with their goggles great anti fog

    Sweet on low-light/ white-out/ gray-bird

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used these for white out days in Alsaka. The storms up there can be really burly and made it so I could ride pow instead of chill indoors like most people on AK storm days. The blue sensor lens is hands down the best ive ever looked through for 50/50 conditions. They provide depth in pure whiteout but won't sear your eye balls if the sun pokes through the clouds like some "high yellow" lenses from other brands. I also used these when it was strait blue bird, awesome goggle!

What weather condition do you use White...

What weather condition do you use White Prism/Blue Sensor lens for? It's not listed on the chart.

    Hey Sun,

The Blue Sensor Lens maximizes color definition and increases depth perception in varying levels of flat light conditions and allows a visual light transmission of 70%

Too small and too much air flow :(

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these recently and I am returning them. I am a very small gal so when I saw that they were for small faces I jumped to buy them. But these goggles are TOO small. Using these with my smith helmet I had a gaper gap (and I'm no gaper) and my face was freezing cause they hardly covered my face both on my forehead and along the outside of my cheeks. They also let in a lot of air so when you're skiing fast you can feel the cold hit your eyeballs. Returning them and getting the i/O version which fit perfect with my helmet.

I'm giving them 2 stars cause I'm sure they'd be fine for kids or for someone that likes the small frame look. They didn't fog.

    Worked as advertised

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

These goggles were not for me but to replace a set of old spy goggles for a friend. She is petite and these fit the bill perfect. She loves them and the gold lens is great on sunny days. I would recommend getting a second lenses for overcast/ late in the day boarding, the gold lens actually is useless in the conditions. Great product.

    No fog!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are hands down the best goggles I've ever owned as far as staying fog free. The Virtue is a great fit for a smaller face, though I do find myself needing a little more peripheral vision. The I/OS is slightly larger with much better peripheral vision, and the same great lenses; That would be a good alternate to this goggle.

    My Mom is stoked.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Purchased a pair of these as a Christmas gift for my Mom and have some feedback to share; I got her the Red Sensor Lens for use in flat light in the Colorado mountains above Treeline, she said they were great and allowed her to make out the Terrain much better than usual. She also said they fit her face perfectly and are very comfortable (she has a smaller/medium face). She loved the colors of the Violet Ombre as well. Figured I'd share what I can, sorry it is not too personal. I will try to add more when I cross her path again.

    White goggles

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

They r soooo cool. They are even better than they look on the pic. Bought the white version and loved it! It's perfect for riding and kicking it!
