Replacement lenses allow you to switch things up so that your eyewear matches the weather. These IO/7 lenses will work with any IO/7 frame and give amazing clarity with Chromapop.

Always be prepared

You never know when the storm is going to roll in and flatten the light. Smith's lenses have never let me down. I do like the rose lens for everyday conditions, but have gotten a little more picky so I got a pair of the Storm Yellow Flash. Now I use my Sun Black lenses on the sunny days and bring out the Storm yellow when the clouds block out the sun. I like to be able to see the contours and terrain i'm on before they throw me for a loop.

Chromapop Storm Yellow Flash Lens-

Great Low Light lens for those flat light, stormy days where the sun is non existent and visibility is less than ideal... add the chromapop and the definition of the snow comes alive, you’re able to feel your feet underneath you and shred in confidence! - even on those days when it’s nuking rain instead of snow!

Great flat light/ storm day lens

Photochromic Rose Flash

The range of VTL for these is 20%-50%. So, this is perfect for sunny days, and most overcast days.

See Clearly

The perfect solution for night riding, the clear lens offers great vision and protection long after the sun goes down.

Exactly what you want

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am a bit of a goggle nerd and now have 6 different lenses for my I/O7's. The most recent that I bought are the clear lenses for night riding. When the snow starts falling and you end up with the occasional night dump, the clear lens is exactly what you need! They let me see very clearly in the dark. Just add a headlamp to your helmet and you are all ready to find that secret pow stash at night.

Great Lens!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased the Gold Sol - X 2 and have loved it so far! Great for sunny days. Fog is not a problem either! I would defiantly recommend them!

clear lens for night skiing

picked up a clear for night skiing and night touring. must have when you want to dip into the trees and all you have is a low light lens. a headlamp only helps so much.

"Seriously Amazing"

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought these for friends. Here is their review!

10/10 EASILY. These goggles are seriously amazing. We skied for 3 days and conditions varied enough that we tried on all 3 lenses. Overall, super comfy fit and an amazingly wide field of vision. Our first day on the mountain was a super wet/snowy/overcast day and these guys held up amazingly. The hydrophobic quality works so well! The water beaded up and ran off without any streaking, and had it not been snowing like crazy, I wouldn't have even had to wipe them off at all. Also, I didn't experience any fogging at all the entire time I skied. Changing out the lenses was super easy as well.

Awesome Lenses

I like to keep a few different lenses on hand for changing light conditions. My favorites are the chromapop storm and everyday.

Second to none

I gave this item as a gift but have some feedback:

The I/O 7 yellow sensor 2 worked wonderfully on a Michigan cloudy day. When the sun finally arrived they worked even better. Clarity and depth of field is second to none. Would definitely purchase again or recommend to a friend. Well worth the price.

Great Lens!

Smith makes some of my favorite goggles. They make lens swapping a piece of cake. I have the Blackout Lens for sunny days and they look awesome and are great at letting the right amount of light in. Then I bought the H.I. Yellow for the snowy Low light days. These add enough contrast and let in enough light that you can still see the details in the ground so you can still fly down the mountain with no brakes.

Sweet!

    Awesome Optics

I have two extra lenses for my I/0 7's this season, each serving their own purpose. I haven't used the Ignitor Mirror in a few years, but I moved backed to it this season because of just how versatile it is. While it's not first choice on flat light days, it still gets the job done, and if the sun pops, you don't feel like you are getting you retinas scorched, due to mirror layer that reduces glare.

My second lens is the Red Sensor Mirror, an awesome choice on any day that it flat light, snowing, or foggy. I love how these lens help increase contrast during flat light days, and give everything a slightly warm, pleasant hue.

A big reason I keep coming back to Smith products is that they do an excellent job of providing a product for every situation on the mountain. Do a little research, and you'll be able to find just the lens to suit your needs.

    Unanswered Question

I noticed there’s a sale going on for Smith i/o 7 rose platinum lenses. How does this lens compare to the ignitor mirror and the platinum mirror? I’ve been leaning towards the ignitor lens because I’d like something that’s very versatile and still has some mirror. Is the rose platinum similar or is it closer to the platinum? What are its features and would you recommend it over the ignitor?

Also, do you know how long this sale will go on for? I may need to wait til next week to decide.
    Thanks so much,
    Liberty

Considering a potential third lens in addition to my ignitor and red sensor. What would round out that collection for mostly CO skiing? Trying to decide between Green Sol-X, Red Sol-X or the Photochromic lens. Or will the ignitor cover bluebird days?

    Hey Scott,

I love the Green Sol-X as my go-to lens on bluebird days, it is my favorite lens. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions about the I/O 7 Goggles.

    1. Do you sell Asian Fit?
    2. Does the I/O 7 come with Blue Sensor Mirror lens or replacement lens
    3. What is the difference between the blue sensor mirror and blue sensor 2?

What's the difference between the Red Sensor Lens and the Red Sensor 2 Lens? Or the Blackout Lens and the Blackout2 Lens?

    Hey Shane,

There is no difference as far as design or performance, the version 2 lenses are from our latest shipment from Smith. I have these goggles so feel free to contact me directly with any more questions about the I/O7 Lenses.
