Pretty Good

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These did the job, but I prefer the ultralight socks. They are a little thicker than the ultra-light (obviously) and I could tell that small difference. They did not seem much warmer but were thicker, if that makes sense.

Great sock

I'm a big fan of Smartwool socks in general and use different weights depending on the activity. The Lightweight is a good all around choice that works with most of my ski boots. I use them for both alpine and cross country skiing and find them to keep my feet warm and comfortable in virtually all conditions. In the summer, I wear them with boots and the moisture wicking properties make them very comfortable for walking all day.

As a bonus, these have cool patterns and come in a bunch of colors, so you can mix it up! (And also keep track of which socks go together)

I generally prefer to size up to an XL, even though according to the size chart at an 11.5-12, I'm right on the edge of L and XL. It's probably personal preference, but I really dislike any pressure on my toes.

Wish I had something to complain about.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These socks are super breathable and are all around rad. I would say they run a little small if anything but are pretty true to size.

    Do Not Stay Put

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

One of the most annoying things to happen during a day of running laps of Pow, are to find you socks falling down the whole day. That is exactly what I have found to be the case with these socks. The sock height it just short enough that a size large doesn't fully make it over the calf, which really keeps them in place. I have multiple pair of Burton winter socks - and each one of them, stays put for the entire day .

    nice weight

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

These are a great ski sock and on the lighter side. Wash and hang dry to make them last longer. Great Smartwool quality.
