Thin & non-functional for running gloves

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I like the Smartwool brand and expected to like these gloves. They were very thin and literally felt like I had cheesecloth (a single layer) wrapped around my hands. I used them for running. It was only about 42°, but it felt far cooler. My hands were freezing after a short 2.5-mile run. The cool (not even cold) breeze sliced right through the "cheesecloth." I'm not sure what a good use case would be for these gloves, given their thin and porous material. Not recommended...

Do not recommend

Big fan of Smartwool socks and merino wool. So when I needed gloves I didn’t think twice about the quality of their gloves. I was so wrong. These gloves ripped at the seam by my index finger the first time I put them on. The gloves opening at the wrist was so small that it was also difficult to put on even though once on they fit nearly perfectly. They didn’t keep the wind from freezing my hands and the touchscreen compatibility never once worked I have never been more disappointed at a purchase than this purchase, especially at this price point.
