Merino 150 Beanie

Smartwool's Merino 150 Beanie is a favorite among athletes for its year-round versatility. Your noggin welcomes it when you're running, cycling, or skinning on a pair of backcountry skis. Smartwool made it out of a merino wool blend for enhanced thermal regulation that helps you keep your cool in overheated moments. Merino wool is also naturally anti-odor, so it won't smell like your ski boots or chamois at the end of the day, week, month, year.

Super Lightweight

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased this to replace an earlier version that my daughter lost in South Africa a couple of years back. This looks almost exactly like the missing beanie but the other had a light blue interior that isn't shown on this product's photos. Well, I guess that inner layer made it twice as heavy as this version is really, really thin. And cheaply made imho. It doesn't feel all that stretchy, it's a single layer of material and honestly paper thin. Perhaps it's suited for under a helmet to keep the wind off your cranium but it certainly won't keep you warm in the winter. Quite disappointed.
