Protection from wind w side ventilation
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
Designed in USA by hikers and joggers to maximize comfort during windy and cold weather, smartwool has crafted a wool lined, attractive jacket to distinguish the user of this jacket above others.
There is a wind-proof polyester shell on the front, on the back, and on the hood. Inside the polyester shell is 120 grams of the smartwool proprietary smart loft insulation to insulate the trapped air near the body. The sides and the forearm sections of the jacket are made from a wool and elastin blend that lets in cool air and let's out warm perspiration. This ventilation is more subtle than the ventilation from a lot of Smartwool's other jackets. When you are not planning to be very active, this jacket is the temperature regulating piece for the winter.
The 120 double corbet hoody jacket is another impressive smartwool product that is unlike any jacket I have experienced.
I am 5' 11" 185 pounds with broad shoulders, and the medium size fit me snugly.
Great Buy!
Love this jacket. Very versatile, lightweight. Great for layering on cold snow days or stand alone hoodie for just kicking around in the winter. Very good looking with a pair of jeans around town as well.

I couldn't be more obsessed with a piece of clothing. this jacket has become my every day, all-time favorite jacket. Its a casual looking, comfortable/athletic fit and keeps me way warmer than I could have imagined for such a light jacket. I am always getting compliments on it. The Elastic under the arms is a great feature and allows for minimal restriction. Its made with Merino wool so you don't lose any heat out of those areas either. I wear this jacket with a t-shirt under neath in 20 deg temperatures and have not been cold. Huge fan of what the boys at Smartwool are doing. Thanks guys!

After a few weeks wearing the Double Corbet, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite winter insulating layers. I wanted a jacket that wasn't as "techy" looking as my other jackets, but still serves the same function. I absolutely love how the jacket looks and have already gotten tons of compliments. The inside merino liner is super soft, the fit is perfect (athletic/fitted), the side panels are strechy breathable merino, and the hood isn't oversized like many other jackets around. I plan to get years of use out of this awesome top. Oh, and this jacket is wayyy warmer than I expected. Pleasantly surprised.
