A classic look for your ski-town holiday.

You secretly miss the days of '90s ski fashion, where chunky apres-ski sweaters kept you cozy at the bar. Smartwool's Dacono Ski Crew Sweater brings back your favorite past-time look with modern subtlety. This cozy wool sweater will keep you warm as you stroll the resort village and sit by the fire pits. Antimicrobial wool will stay fresh after multiple uses while on vacation and the breathable material will keep you from overheating when you layer with a ski jacket. Ribbed side panels hug your body for a flattering fit that's more comfortable than the sweater your wore over 20 years ago.

  • A warm sweater for the slopes or the lodge
  • Merino wool is soft and breathable
  • Synthetic materials add a comfortable stretch
  • Regular fit makes layering a breeze

Thick sweater makes waist look small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

This is a well-made sweater. It’s heavy and dense feeling, heavier weight than the Smartwool 250 sweaters or Smartwool’s “midweight” sweaters, The pattern design of the green one sort of points in at the sides of my waist with triangle shapes in the pattern, creating the illusion of a smaller waistline than I really have.

That said, I could not fit this very nice sweater into my motorcycle touring bag without ditching at least half of it’s other contents, so I sent it back. If you’re looking for a warm, casual sweater that doesn’t make you look like you’re 5 months pregnant, and you don’t need something super packable, this might be the sweater for you.

I’m 5’9 and 150 lbs, short-waisted with broad swimmer’s shoulders and back. The size large fit well, and it’s long enough that even people who aren’t as short waisted as I am should be fine.

Arm Length:
