Anchor Line Shirt Jacket

Don't even think about forcing the Smartwool Anchor Line Shirt Jacket to stay inside, unless you're in the city in August. But mid-July in the mountains? Fair game. Essentially, the Anchor Line just wants to be outside, and its merino and nylon blend will help regulate your temperature whether you're chopping wood in October or heading out for a hike on a mild late winter day. Though it looks like a classic flannel, the Anchor Line has the thickness of a shirt jacket, so pair it with a baselayer and its warmth may surprise you.

Reminiscent of a mil issue wool blanket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Reminiscent of a mil issue wool blanket I regret not having found it's way in my seabag on my way out. like it, a cozy piece to have when there is a chill on. decently well built, good fit, the look gets compliments. an upper back/shoulder area lining would be the only thing I would want added, better when carrying a ruck. Buy yourself one.

Nice Shirt Jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I have two of these shirt jackets now. They are a great, durable, warm layer for casual wear or work/outdoor wear on a chilly day. I would say it's also slightly fitted - enough room for a layer underneath, but doesn't look oversized - making it a good casual wear item. I'm 5'-7" and about 150 lb with a thinner, athletic physique and I wear size small. The sleeves are just a hair long, but not a big deal. I would recommend. It's a quality item. While the wool is pretty soft, it's still slightly itchy to me. I typically wear it with a long sleeve t-shirt layer underneath.
