Why We Like The Vertical Split Snowboard

The Slash Vertical Split Snowboard is based on Slash's award-winning Straight Splitboard model, but slightly tweaked for touring, to help us ditch the crowds, drop in on steep lines, and step up to huge cliffs with confidence. Highly directional in flex and shape, and with a Float Camber profile, this split makes easy work of technical skintracks on the way up just as well as it rips hairy lines and powder-filled chutes on the way down.

A large, subtly rockered nose allows us to surf through the deep stuff without submerging, and the setback stance and slightly stiffer tail give us the control and stability to slash turns and stomp landings. Slash's Ultimate Traction bump and S-Line Split work together to add bite on icy skintracks and provide shear force when put together, while carbon and KEVLAR Landing Strips turbo-charge our ollie power and make washouts less likely. Plus, the included Union hardware and a standard split mounting pattern give us the green light to start checking those dream missions off our list right out of the box.

  • Versatile splitboard for powder days and technical lines alike
  • Directional shape and mid-stiff flex add stability and control
  • Float Camber and setback stance enhance drive and agility in pow
  • Big, rockered nose stays afloat to surf through the deepest days
  • Pop woodcore shaves weight while boosting strength
  • Triax/biax layup offers torsional stiffness to eat up chop
  • Sintered base absorbs a ton of wax and keeps you flying downhill
  • Included Union hardware helps cut out the middle man
