Singing Rock Chocky Jamming Glove

The obvious choice.

You could bloody your hands up every weekend, spend a fortune on tape, or just climb cracks in Singing Rock's Chocky Jamming Glove. Like the best tape job ever designed, the Chocky Jamming Glove protects the back of your hand while keeping your palm free for face holds. Rubber keeps the Chocky reliably durable for seasons of splitter sending, and the elastic loops ensure dexterous mobility. The hook-and-loop closure stays off your wrist to further enhance freedom of movement. Even if you consider the Chocky "cheating," this glove truly comes in handy when you're training on those bloodied, never washed, potentially diseased cracks in the gym.

hand shoes!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Hand Jammies are a lot clumsier than tape gloves, but they are pretty convenient.
I like using them at the climbing gym because they are a lot easier, and eventually cheaper than tape. The sticky rubber on the back of the hand really helps make bad jams feel really solid.
They're climbing shoes for hands!
*The jammies make my hands feel about a size bigger than they feel with tape gloves on.

Serves a purpose

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm easing my way into crack climbing, by way of the gym. These work well for my current needs. I usually just run a couple laps at the end of a session. It beats taping up each time.

Great for the gym

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I hate having to tape up for the gym and this solves that problem. Feels great but expect to have less room in the cracks as its a lot thicker than even a few wraps of tape. My only complaint is it makes my palm too wide with the strap. However, expect different results with different sized cracks.
