Tight is right.

The Simms Tightlines Glove offers warmth and water-repelling protection during those long, cold days spent on the river. Hardface fleece combined with a DWR-coating prevents wind and water from getting the best of your toasty situation, while a half-exposed thumb and index allows you to manage the line and tie knots. Plus, its slim design makes for easy wearing under protective, shell gloves for added warmth.

Nice up to a point

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I liked these gloves the first few times I wore them and then I picked the material on a hook while tying a fly. It made a little tuft and fray right on the index finger that got in the way quite a bit. Then they got soaked when I took a header and they seemed to constrict on my hands to the point that while trying to get them off the stitching at the thumb completely shredded. I wound up tossing them and will replace them with the Solarflex SunGloves as they look a bit more durable.

Awesome, until they wet out...

These are great! The material is super comfortable and insulates well. With the thumb and two finger-holes, it is super easy to switch bugs, untangle your line, or add an extra weight to your rig. Great to fish with too...not great once they are wet, but I have yet to find a glove that still insulates when wet AND allows for this much dexterity.
