Love them!

These gloves are well made and reasonably durable. I had an early stage of melanoma so sun protection is very important. They’re great for that.

Must have?

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I row either drift boat or raft nearly 30 days every summer. The thin skin on your hands is getting directly baked all day when on the sticks. Sunscreen washes off, makes your grip poor and screws up knots and your leader and fly line. These gloves easily lasted me the whole season. The material is very light, but the leather is robust. Grips even better when wet. Doesn?t get in the way when tying knots. Please wear something. ?Old man? hands aren?t cool? chicks dig scars, not liver spots?

Favorite fishing gloves

I've had 2 pairs of these now and love them very much! Super great for dealing with bass, pike, and catfish. But also very nice when handling trout and other light fish. Only complaint is after a full day the extra thickness of wearing a glove can feel a bit tiring on the had holding the rod. Sun hoddie with long sleeves helps that though!!

Perfect on Tournament Day

These gloves are EXACTLY what the Dr. ordered. I was looking for a glove to save my hands on those long runs on tournament day and these did not disappoint. Light enough to wear all day, but heavy duty enough to soften the blow and keep my hands blister free when hanging on to the boat in the rough stuff. If you are looking for the perfect summer fishing glove, you have found it in the SolarFlex Guide Glove by Simms. Absolutely perfect.

love them

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I just picked these up because I wanted a winter glove, but not the bulk of the typical winter glove. Now, I know these are not a winter glove at all, seeing as they have no insulation whatsoever, but I just needed a little bit more protection and coverage on my hands than going bare. These fit that bill, and will be a great addition to my spring/summer kit as well when I can start throwing those big streamers out again.

3 Season protection

Since the backs of my hands resemble the crumpled pages of discarded paperbacks, I felt it was overdue to start protecting them. These gloves are the perfect solution. Lightweight and comfortable, I Wear them in freshwater and the salt. They also provide a little extra grip when I am on the oars. Machine wash. Ready to wear.

Great Warm Weather Rowing Gloves

Comfy and effective at protecting your hands from the sun and the handles of your oars. I rarely wear gloves while guiding/rowing, but when I do, these are the ticket when my hands need a break from the hammering they get on the water day after day.
