Lightweight wind jacket with water resistance.

The Sierra Designs Men's Microlight 2 Jacket should round out your list of must-have travel essentials. The Microlight features a DWR coating, which is enough to keep you dry if you get caught out in a quick shower, and this lightweight polyester shines because it cuts the wind as a versatile shell. The adjustable hood and hem let you customize the fit. When you aren't wearing it, the Microlight packs up in the included stuff sack and stores nice and tidy in your pack.

don't use in the rain

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I keep this jacket packed in my backpack for hikes because it is pretty small and lightweight. It has a great fit and keeps the wind from becoming a problem. However if conditions are wet, I will leave this at home and bring a different jacket.

Water "Resistant"

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Well, I got this jacket because it was pretty cheap and I love Sierra Designs. However, it does not hold back much water. I can feel a drizzle within minutes. Not fun when you're backpacking or needing a rain coat on top of a 14'er. I'm no jacket snob or guru, but I do know that there isn't much resistance to the title of "water resistance". Have fun!

yea dude 10000 is pretty much water proof so six is not much..was thinking about wind more myself. had a windshirt that was great from SD. cant beat the prices
