Terrible Cycling Jacket
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
Terrible jacket; back zipper broke, thumb loops hurt, unadjustable hood for non-helmet activities, zipped collar chafes adams apple, no vents
Is this more of a winter commuting jacket or can it be used for hard riding where it breathes well and insulates in sub freezing temps?
Hey Alex,
This jacket is better suited for winter commuting and the 5000 g/m² breathability is pretty low if you are doing high-exertion rides and need a jacket that will breathe. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions.

This is an absolutely phenomenal Jacket. From fit, function, looks and durability Shower's pass has produced an excellent jacket for commuting or casual wear off the bike in cold and rainy conditions.
A semi-form fit makes for an active look on and off the bike, but allows ample space for extra layers. The hood is large and can fit over a helmet. An extra long back keeps water from crawling up where it is very much unwanted. The jacket is lined with a very comfortable but sturdy fleece which is warm, but breathable with a superb 3 layer construction. Water beads right off, even in a downpour and you'll be warm and dry no matter the condition. Finally the durability has been impressive. It's the jacket I wear most often for commuting, or off the bike on cold, drizzly or snowy days. Very little signs of wear and tear and I expect this will last me a very long time.
