Juuuust right.

Not too big, not too small, not too heavy, not too fragile, and not too expensive, the Shimano XTR WH-M9020-Tl 27.5in Wheelset fills the need for a race-inspired MTB wheel that rides at a high level without getting banged up or costing you your firstborn (and it won't even eat your pre-ride porridge).

When Shimano redesigned its XTR drivetrains, it figured it needed a new wheel to go with it, so here we are. The M9020 is based off the XC-race-ready M9000, and employs Shimano's carbon-laminated rim construction, which maximizes the advantages and minimizes the disadvantages of both materials. Carbon reinforcements keep the aluminum nice and stiff, while the aluminum keeps the ride relatively smooth and the price relatively affordable. The M9000 is also 4mm wider internally, which accommodates wider tires and creates a larger contact area, so you'll have more traction when your circumstances start getting treacherous. Both wheels are set up with Shimano XTR M9000 hubs, which'll spin until the sun collapses on

  • Carbon-laminated aluminum rims
  • 24mm internal rim width
  • Shimano XTR M9000 hubs
  • CenterLock disc-brake rotors only
  • Front and rear thru-axles
  • Compatible with Shimano 10-speed and 11-speed XTR drivetrains

Does the XTR M9000 hub work with an 10 speed xt cassette?

I'm looking for a 27.5 wheelset to use on a Lynskey GR250 gravel bike. 15 x 100 TA F and 12x142 R. Is the internal rim width of 24 correct?. Seen it listed as 26.4.

The internal width on these wheels is 24mm. Should work just fine on your gravel bike!
