Ultegra CS-R8000 Cassette

Shimano's Ultegra CS-R8000 Cassette is among our top picks for high-level road cycling because like all Ultegra drivetrain components, it's the perennial favorite based on the performance-to-dollars equation. With different demands for drivetrain ranges required for road, gravel, and CX riding, Shimano has created cassette ranges designed to allow the R8000 drivetrain to easily satisfy the needs for a variety of riders. The Ultegra CS-R8000 Cassette ranges as high as 32t, so you can set up the new Ultegra (or Dura-Ace R9100) with the range you need for gravel epics, 4 corner crits, hill climbs, junior nationals, and everything in-between.

14-28 - perfect for a smart trainer

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Closely spaced ratios make it easier to hit my targeted power and cadence levels during interval training, without resorting to erg mode.

Nothing beats ultegra

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

For training and racing this is the one. If you have all the money get the dura ace. If you are self sponsored go with the ultegra. I'm getting 5000 miles out of them. So I go through two dura ace chain's for each cassette and the shifting stays crisp. Big chainring at 10,000 cassette at 5000 and chain at 3000. Your results may vary depending on cleanliness

11-25 Ultegra R8000 works perfectly, even with my long cage ultegra R8000 rear deraillure. Seriously works PERFECTLY!

This is the best performance and value If you have all the money you need,, then by all means get the dura ace. I go through two or three a year so the ultegra is for me.

Shimano 11 speed 11x32 cassette. FANTAST

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've been running same cassette for 10 speed, 11x33, and NEVER A PROBLEM. Probably 25,000 miles on the old one and looking forward to the same with this one, on new Pinarello Prince. Never had a problem with any Shimano product and all products are both mechanic and user friendly!

better than good enough

The ultegra cassette is the sweet spot in the price/weight/durability spectrum of shimano (and other brands) cassettes. My go-to for training and racing. I ride about 8k miles/year

Still the best

Familiarity:

High quality, light, easy to install, good price, smooth shifting and comes in a wide range of tooth options. I use the integra cassettes on both my ultegra and 105 rigged bikes; bought this one for a gravel rig I am building. No complaints ever.

The right part shipped fast.

Familiarity:

All cassettes wear out, and Ultegra cogs are a great replacement for the high priced Dura Ace OE gear at a slight weight penalty. Big thing is Competitive Cyclist shipped the right part very fast... Smooth running for this weekends rides!
