Annoying
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I just completed my first olympic distance tri wearing a pair of the Shimano SH-TR60 which I bought on sale. I usually cycle in an old pair of Sidi's I've had for years and was hoping this would be easier for transitions than a ratchet-based closure. Overall, transitions were easy, ventilation was good and the shoe was comfortable. HOWEVER, the velcro strap is too long or something and on my right shoe it kept on rubbing against the crank causing the shoe to get looser and come undone during the race. I had to fix the shoe 6-8 times over the course of my bike which was frustrating. Perhaps if the velcro fastened away from the bike vs. inwards this wouldn't be an issue? Or if it was shorter? Whatever it was, it wasn't ideal...
