my go to pads

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

more quite, with more modulation than metallic version but not the longevity.
I prefer using resin pads! Just make sure you don't get any oil or grease on them or they are toast....

I installed these on my TRP Slate T4 brakes and they are awesome!

Silent stoppers

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

They're quiet (even more so than the metallic), stop extremely well, and work great in every condition I've had them in. Cheaper than metallic as well but wear out much much quicker.

Bedding in new pads when they are installed is a critical step. The process transfers a small amount of pad material to the rotor and preps the pad surface for real-world braking. Don’t skip this step.

Pros
-Quieter
-Shorter break-in period
-More initial bite
-Prevent heat buildup
-Pushes heat back into the rotor

Cons
-Wear quicker
-Not as good in wet/muddy conditions
