While your mother might not use the words "premium melon protection," to describe the Scott Symbol MIPS Helmet, she'd most likely be pleased as punch that you decided to give your brain the defense it deserves. The Symbol is equipped with all the on-hill features needed to make your backcountry, freeride, or resort experience as comfortable and well-rounded as possible.

More specifically, the Symbol touts a PC in-mold construction, meaning the exterior polycarbonate shell is fused to the impact-absorbing foam liner. This system ultimately creates a more lightweight and less-bulky wearing experience than conventional helmets. In addition to its in-mold construction, the Symbol is outfitted with MIPS safety system, which consists of an additional, low-friction layer within the helmet that permits the head to rotate relative to the helmet during the time of an angled impact. Meanwhile, the MRAS fit system provides a fully customizable fit: just simply adjust the rear cradle and dial in the pressure by using the micro adjustment dial. Scott also outfitted with Symbol with an adjustable Active S-Vent and non-adjustable G-Vent system, allowing you to personalize the climate of your helmet. And since the name of the game is safety, the Symbol features Scott's 360 Pure Sound Technology, which is designed to maximize your hearing capabilities and therefore provide you with a more safe and aware on-hill experience.
