Scott Celeste II Alpine Touring Boot - Women's

Simply celestial.

Although its combination of bright, beautiful blue cuff and snow-like white shell reminds you of bluebird days, the Scott Women's Celeste II Alpine Touring Boot is far from just another pretty face. This boot sports a lightweight design suitable for steep skinners and long days in the backcountry, and a stiff 120 flex provides the performance that intermediate to advanced downhill skiers look for.

Scott achieved this phenomenal flex-to-weight ratio by building the boot out of Powerlite, which is a combination of stiff, superlight Grilamid and sturdy polyurethane. Underfoot, the Celeste features Vibram's ever-reliable rubber sole that, when combined with a ski/walk mode, allows the Celeste to reach the most celestial heights via mountaineering routes.

This heavenly touring boot also features Scott's thermo-moldable Pwr Lite liner that offers a customized fit after a short heat-packing process. Pwr Lite also has a Gore-Tex membrane for waterproof breathable protection, and mesh panels enhance ventilation for the airflow required on sweaty skinners. Shock dampening inserts make your downhill experience more solid than most touring boots can offer.

I wish I had skipped over entry-level touring boots and bought these first. They're a little heavier than clouds and just as comfortable.

The Best All Terrain Ski Boots Ever

I never knew that ski boots could be comfortable, sturdy, flexible and so perfect for alpine touring. This is my 4th pair of ski boots over the years and I’ll never buy another brand.

Too bad that the staff at Backcountry knew nothing about the Scott Celeste II ski boots when I went to the store in UT! I would have never known how great these boots are unless an expert Canadian backcountry guide would have recommended it to me while chatting about backcountry skiing on a beach in Mexico.
Luckily, Backcountry sells them so I could try on the boots prior making a purchase on line. Again, the Backcountry Gear Experts were cluelss - please invest some time and learn about Scott Celeste II and stop pushing all the other made in China crap!

Best part : the boots are made in Italy, are feather light and beautiful while molding around your foot almost like a regular boot.
They snap around your ankle very easy and they keep you stable and safe while floating over piles and piles of fresh Power Mountain snow, soft bumps at Alta and Deer Valley groomers.
With a smooth click they go from walk mode to ski mode.
Overall, amazing technology, gorgeous style and best value for the $$$.

Great Purchase

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these for my mom and she has zero complaints, they are flexible enough for an easy uphill climb but stiff enough to carve and dig deep on the downhill descent. She said when these wear out she will be replacing with the same boot.

Are these boots compatible with the ISO 9523 Touring Sole?

This boot rocks!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this boot as an early christmas present for my mom, here's what she has to say:
"they are truly awesome Super light and flexible (60 degree walk mode) on the uphill, snug and stiff on the downhill with it’s 120 flex and it’s warm even at 8 degrees! The buckle bail and easy switch from walk to ski mode make for a super easy transition. I’ve yet to find a boot that climbed AND skied well. The downhill is important to me and it seemed like I was always sacrificing one for the other, but not in this boot. So far the best AT boot I’ve ever had:)" She is stoked to say the least! She wears usually a 7.5/8 in womens shoes and got the 24.5
