For the essentials.
On some rides all you want to carry are the bare essentials, a tube, tire lever, and patch kit. For days when you don't want to complicate your ride with a mechanic's toolbox in your saddle bag, pick up the SciCon Phantom 230. Designed to be slim and aerodynamic, the subtle saddle bag hides underneath your seat, neatly tucked away. It mounts to your saddle rails themselves with a clamp, so you don't have obtrusive straps looping around your seat tube and rails, flapping in the wind, and you can snag a second clamp for ease in swapping the bag from one bike to another. Durable nylon is faced with a carbon fiber optic, looking fresh with reflective piping and a light-mount loop that you can strap your rear light to for increased visibility at night.

- Q & A
Do not buy this product!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The actual bag itself is great, but the mechanism which attaches to the seat and the interface which is attached to these bags are faulty. The mech that attaches to the seat will slide on the seat rails, doesnt matter how hard you tighten it, it WILL come lose and when it does, you better hope that you hear when your bag hits the road... 2nd issue is that the apparatus that is part of the bag itself that interfaces with the locking mechanism on the seat breaks off from the bag, I have had this happened several times over speed bumps or rough road. I actually had to plastic weld it in place. This is a great idea for a product but right now it has some terrible flaws that I would stay away from, unless you like losing your bag and patch kit, etc.
