You might be stuck in the city for the weekend because the 'rents are in town, but at least everyone knows you'd rather be on a granite wall when you're wearing the Scarpa Men's Cosmo Shoe. Designed to bring mountain style to everyday life, the Cosmo has a relaxed, no-break-in suede upper and lightweight EVA cushioning for comfort around town. But don't worry—should you find yourself a nice little rock to climb in the park, the Cosmo also has a rubber toe rand and rugged Scarpa Voyager outsole so you can still sneak in a little bouldering session while mom and dad catch an afternoon nap.

Great shoe

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these to replace an older pair of similar type of Scarpa shoe that I wear quite often as daily attire. I really don't like wearing old running shoes as daily footwear, so these are my next best option. I typically wear a size 9 in street shoe, and I went 42.0/9 in this shoe. The fit is spot on in length and width. Comfort is great, I can wear it to the office, or hop on the bike for a quick ride to grab a bite. I like the relatively flat sole without a high drop. It comes with two options in laces, the bright green and a subdued gray color. My other Scarpa's lasted a good 5 years as casual wear, so I expect the same out of these.

Second pair for my guy!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I gifted these to my boyfriend, this will be his second pair of these shoes so he obviously really loves them! They're lightweight which is great for multipitch climbs, he says he barely notices that he's lugging them up. He also wears them out to bars, to work etc. Probably won't be his last pair either!

Looking for a Good, Solid Casual Sneaker

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For a number of years I was using the Patagonia Fitz sneaker as a casual sneaker around town. I was tired of relegating my old running shoes to the casual shoe category. I wanted something dedicated to just being my around the town sneaker. I am really liking the Scarpa Cosmo.

As you would expect with the Scrapa brand, the outside of the shoe looks more like an "approach" shoe. The toe section is reinforced and the shoe material is tough (it's not mesh like a running sneaker - which I also think leads to it breathing a little less). The tread is rubbery, grippy and comfortable.

I've really enjoyed the sneaker so far. It does feel like it has more structure to it than the old Patagonia Fitz, and I like that. But not as much structure as running sneaker or anything like that. I've worn these for very long days and my feet haven't tired or hurt or anything.

Highly recommend!
