Good for the job but serious size issues

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Reasonably rugged and light pair of trekking shoes but with serious issues with inner comfort. I upsized to an 11 US from my usual 10.5 but it still tends to ‘hit my fingers’ creating serious issues. Have lost 4 toe nails over 2 treks and have to unfortunately retire this pair. My third pair of Salomons and still struggling with getting the right size

Light comfort

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This will be my second pair of these boots. My first pair lasted about 3 years. I took them across the the West Highland Way in Scotland, through more than a week of back country in Glacier National Park, up and down nearly every peak in the Shenandoah Valley and they held up to nearly everything I could throw at them until they started to come apart at the seams--but not before they likely had well over 1,000 miles on them. They remained water proof for about the first 2.5 years before they started to seep and make my socks wet on stream crossings. My only gripe was on a trip where I put in 20+ miles a day while carrying too much gear. I ended up aggravating an old foot injury because they were too flexible with that much weight. Honestly, I was asking them, and my feet, to do too much so I'd caulk that up to operator error, but a stiffer backpacking boot would have been nice in that instance. On fit, they feel similar to a running shoe, but offer hiking boot support. I have narrow feet and they fit well if not a little snug so if you have wide feet that is something to be aware of. Also, know these boots are not warm. I've suffered through some snowy or wet and cold days. All things considered, if you don't have a pair of these in your closet, you should. They have trail/running shoe comfort with hiking boot ruggedness.

Excellent Shoe's

These are my seventh pair of Salomon shoes. They're a great shoe from everyday wear to hiking. Absolutely love them.

Great boots but too narrow

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

They are solid, comfortable, waterproof but the only drawback is that they are way too narrow for me.

I wish I had bought them sooner!

Been hunting in slip on work boots for years. Bought these and should have done so years ago. Light comfortable and water proof.

Great for section hikes

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

After a couple day on the trail you begin to feel the impact on your feet. I suppose that?s the price of being so lightweight. I stepped in a lot of muddy puddles and didn?t have any problems with the waterproofing. They?re a little narrow so I had to size up. Overall great hiking shoes but wouldn?t recommend for long trips.

My shoes smell

When received these new shoes smelt really bad and stink out a room. They still do after four weeks but I have had to keep them as they were needed for work.

Great, was exactly what I was looking for in a hiking boot.

Great fit!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Fits according to size. Great traction and snugs your foot neatly. If anything to critique is the tongue/front of shoe that rubs against my shin. I'll have to try different socks but that's the only thing negative.
