Whether he's hitting mind-blowingly huge features in the city or letting his hoof breathe on backcountry jumps that most people wouldn't hit with both feet strapped in, let alone just one, Bode Merrill relies on the supportive fit and precise performance of the Salomon Men's Hi Fi Wide Snowboard Boot. This wide version appeals to riders with wider paws who love taking their freestyle talents across the entire mountain.
ZoneLock lacing utilizes, well, zonal lacing to customize your fit one zone at a time, thus eliminating painful pressure points. Further customizing your fit, the thermo-moldable Custom Fit liner increases comfort and foothold with a foam that contours to the natural shape of your foot. Built in to the wrapping panels, Sensifit ensures a precise fit that holds the foot from the midsole to the laces comfortably.
The molded TPU SpringBack spine delivers a precise and relentlessly reliable flex. Ride after ride, the Ortholite C3 footbed creates a cooler, drier, healthier, and better-cushioned home for your foot that won't break down over time and is built to maintain its cushy comfort. Salomon installed a watertight neoprene seal around the lower foot for waterproof protection in the deep stuff, and it rounded the Hi Fi out with an ultralight HiFive EC+ outsole for exceptional rebound and comfort.

- Q & A
Good for a wide foot
Went through two other pairs of boots (Van's size 10 and Thirtytwo's 10 1/2) which squeezed my feet like vice grips until I settled on the Salomon hi fi wide 9 1/2. Have not used them on the mountain yet but felt great for an hour walking around the house. Fit snug on my feet and definitely not too wide, if anything they feel a touch tight side to side, but should be perfect once broken in. I normally where a size 10 in any street/ casual shoe most brands. On another note my feet are not ridiculously wide or anything just a touch wide. Hope this helps some people.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Best day one boots ever! I purchase a new pair of boots almost every year. The first day was amazing, nothing like I have ever experienced. Two thumbs up!!!!
Wide Foot Heaven
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
While a little extra pricey for boots, but the needed comfort for any wide footer is well worth it. I'm a 4E in width and I have a taller foot. These boots have been the solution to my aches and pains for years.
Fastening system. Quick pull with a latch for all three zones (liner/top of foot/ankle and calf). At the ends of the lines of the outer layers are hooks with loops on the outside of the boot. These locks haven't always stayed closed and you quickly notice in the boot. The ends often come off their loop and hang loose possibly causing a issue if they come free from your pant legs. My solution was the quick strap of ski boots just holding the top together in case of unfastening and to hold the ends in place.
Great ride and stiff enough for all mountain but enough play to Bomb the park.
I highly recommend these boots for all wide footers and will continue to look at Salomon for years to come being one of only three producing wide boots.
Would you guys be able to measure the liner of a 8.5 and tell me what is the width of the widest part of it? I'm trying to figure out how wide is wide in Salomon's standards. Are we talking E, 2E, or 3E/4E? You would be helping out all of those who have wide feet! Thank you very much.
