Salomon Snowboards Dialogue Focus Boa Snowboard Boot - Wide - Men's
Dialogue Focus Boa Snowboard Boot
Instead of talking up your game at the top of the park, drop into the jump line in the Salomon Wide Dialogue Focus Boa Snowboard Boot and let your riding speak for you. This boot combines a supportive frame with a flexible liner to provide both the freedom you want for tweaking grabs and jibs, and the response needed for hitting big jumps and taking technical lines outside the park—all in a wider package designed for riders with wide feet.
Boa Focus lacing allows you to independently tighten the upper and lower zones of the boot, helping you lock in the perfect fit in seconds. The Gold liner's heat-moldable Custom Fit foam panels form to your feet in sensitive areas, while the Heel Grip cat-tongue material at the heel ensures your socks are perfectly gripped into the boots for increased heel hold. Cushioning big drops, the Ortholite C2 footbed also promotes blood circulation to keep your feet warm and prevent fatigue, and even has an anti-microbial treatment to help fight foot funk. The all-new, high-rebound Flight EC+ outsole features lightweight EVA foam to cushion impacts and reduce vibrations, with rubber panels on the bottom that maintain traction and durability.

I tried 3 different boots...
I need a new set of boots, and I was excited to see multiple brands with sizes explicitly for wide feet. I ordered a pair of these Salomons, a comparably priced pair of K2's, and the Burton Photons (about $80 more than the other two). And tonight I tried them all on for a while.
TLDR; I'm going with the Burton's.
First, what I liked about these... The quality seems pretty good, comparable to the other two. And I liked the "lock" mechanism on the inner boot laces (see pic). This seems like an improvement over the common clamp mechanism that "floats" up and down the laces. Having this lock attached to the inner boot seems like it would be easier to adjust.
The two boa "controls" adjust the top and bottom of the outer boot as you'd expect.
Ultimately, I passed on these boots because they weren't comfortable when I had them on for a while and snugged up. Both the left and the right boot had something that poked into the outside edge of my foot just below my little toes. And the support across the top of the ankle dug into my foot more than I liked.
Now, to be fair, I was comparing these to the Burton Photons, which are $80 more. But the comfort difference was night and day. While I hate to say it, I'm pretty sure I'd be miserable in these Salomons after an hour or so.
