Comfortable but Reoccurring Issue
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 11 US
I've owned two (2) pair of the these since June 2019. I am a fan but there has been a noteworthy drawback with each pair. I'll start with the positives:
These are very comfortable shoes; they fit well and the locking lace system is great and firmly secures the foot with little to no slippage. The waterproofing is also top notch, holding up both in wet Winter and Summer conditions.
Now, the drawback has been the same issue in both pairs of shoes. The inner liner (beneath the foot bed) becomes separated after normal wear and tear. This has occured under the ball of the foot and creates an "air pocket like feeling" under the ball of the foot that pushes against the sole of you foot unless under pressure with the ground.
I would like to believe I could replace with another pair, but having the same failure in two pair makes me believe there is a design issue.
Overall a very good trail/running shoe but the quality/design flaw makes me want to explore others.
