Road feel, trail attitude.

Conquer singletrack you once couldn't imagine running with trail kicks that feel like your favorite road shoes. Lightweight and brimming with mesh, the Salomon Women's Sense Pro 2 Running Shoe doesn't look or feel like a bulky hiking shoe that sometimes likes to run. It's got streamlined speed laces to get you out the door quickly with a secure fit, and a cushy midsole with a rock plate and grippy tread to help you dig in when the trail turns loose and rocky.

In addition to lugs, the tread includes Contagrip rubber specifically designed to grip in wet, slick conditions, giving you the upper hand when slippery roots try to tug you off-course on rainy days. Salomon builds the Sense Pro 2 with a versatile 6mm heel/toe drop that's friendly to most runners, whether you're a heel striker or favor landing on your forefoot. The lack of extra support for overpronation means the Sense Pro 2 works best for runners with a largely neutral gait, but it's equally suited for long or short training days, and is made to excel on everything from wet mud to loose scree.

  • Run new trails with the feel of your favorite road shoe
  • Airy, seamless mesh uppers breathe continuously
  • Platform works best for runners with a neutral gait
  • Lugged sole and rubber outsole grip in wet conditions
  • Rock plate adds stability and protection on rocky trails

Not my favorite Salomon shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Salomon shoes sometimes run on the narrow side, and this shoe is no exception. This is excellent for some people, just not for me. The reason I give 3 stars is because this shoe has begun shredding on top and on the sides before I have even worn any of the tread of the bottom. I haven't had that problem with any other Salomon shoes, so it may be a defect. These shoes are otherwise comfortable and would make a good choice for someone who likes a small toe box and isn't too rough on their shoes.

Awesome for light off-road

These shoes are super comfortable and a great minimal trail running shoe. They have a lot of versatility to go on road and yet still have enough support for some off-road runs/hikes. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than I do with other brands.

    I love it!

I use this pair for indoor cross training. Surprised at the comfort and support from this pair of shoes. I highly recommended it

      Great Trail Runner

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these for my wife and she loves them! We had to work a bit to get the right size, as they do run slightly large, but once she found the right fit, she couldn't be happier. She normally wears a US 8 and ended up going down to a US 7.5.

      Perfect Mid-Distance Trail Runner

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Sense Pro 2 by Salomon is quickly becoming my favorite shoe.

It is relatively minimalist, less cushioning and bulk than others. It is also more flexible than the Speedcross, for example. The tread gives me grip on everything from slick rock in Utah to the forest trails of the Northwoods. I've found these most comfortable on middle distance runs--I've gone as long as about 8 miles comfortably.

They are light, durable, and dry out really quick thanks to the mesh upper.

      Love these

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I just got these as a refresh from the previous generation & I am still super happy with this model. This is a great all-around shoe for most every condition. I am coming from a more minimalist shoe & think that this works well for a more neutral gate. I also LOVE speed laces. I feel like I used to have to stop once a run to re-tie my shoes, so these are clutch.

      Great

      • Fit: True to size

Got these for the little lady. She noted: The heel pocket is superb. The lacing is simple. The fit is awesome. All in all, these make a great trail shoe for normal mileage. You may want a softer shoe for certain conditions if you have not had a chance to build up, but for the most part, they work great!

Great shoe to add to the ranks

Purchased these shoes for my wife, here's her review:
I have yet to find a shoe brand better than salomon for trail running. I'm easing back into running after some time off and was looking for a shoe to build mileage in. I have previously run in everything from the super minimalist salomon sense shoe to the extra burly speed cross. This shoe falls somewhere in between. As always with salomon, I'm super happy with the tread and grip on almost any terrain. The 6mm drop is a comfortable starting point for me to build up on hill climbing without injury. While I do have a narrower foot, I have not had the width of this shoe impact trail mobility or control. It's a heavier shoe than the sense 6, but still has great breathability. I anticipate pulling these shoes out for many days into the fall season.

      Minimalist but strong

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs large

Love these shoes! I transitioned from 5-fingers and other barefoot shoes, and these provide the perfect amount of protection without changing my natural stride. They are extremely light weight!
As always, salomon runs a little big so try these on before you order, if possible. The light blue color gets really, really dirty (but hopefully looks badass). For a very narrow foot these may be wide...speed lace has held up so far and stays snug, but it looks like you could replace it with thin, regular laces if it breaks. Good traction in the mud and on loose dirt for this light of a shoe, but if you're used to burly trail runners, they don't quite compare.
