SalomonSense Marin Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Get A Sense of What Fun Is Like.

A little bit of loose, varied terrain never bothered you any, mostly in part because you're wearing the Salomon Men's Sense Marin Trail Running Shoe.  The Sense Marin features a 3D stretch air mesh that molds to the shape of your foot, assuring a pressure-free fit and feel. Meanwhile, the Quicklace technology shaves time spent on your pre-run routine and touts a secure pocket for any excess drawcord (in turn preventing you from tripping on the extra laces). An EndoFit design consists of an internal sockliner that cuts down on chafing or pressure, and promotes a snug fit, without hindering your foot's ability to splay and expand. Additionally, an EVA midsole not only attenuates shock but enhances energy return, allowing you to launch through your transitions. And, no sundae would be complete without a cherry on top, so designers at Salomon equipped the Marin with a Contagrip outsole to maintain traction and becomes more grippy when wet, so you're able to run rain or shine.

  • Trail or loose terrain, keep cruising with this running shoe
  • Stretch mesh prevents pressure or discomfort
  • Drawcord assures a personalized, fast fit
  • EVA midsole attenuates shock for comfort
  • Rubber outsole becomes more grippy when wet

Comfortably non-technical

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 10

Devoted Salomon customer since 2005.
The Sense Marin is a very comfortable shoe and I'd characterize it as a more traditional fit and feel than Salomon's S-Lab line.

Its built well and has plenty of cushion, in fact I feel its a bit soft and in-precise for my aging mind and eyesight. That said I've taken a couple tumbles while wearing this shoe.
It is a broader shoe overall than my regular rides (S-Lab Wings SG, Ultra SG) with a larger toe box, so I tend to snag a toe now and then. It just messes with my overall ground feel/proprioception. NOTE This is why I consider it to run large in size YMMV

That is why only four stars. But for non-technical recovery runs, scrambling, hiking, wearing around the yard or camp its a quality shoe.

Great for Trail Running

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 11.5

I've run in these a few times on well worn trails. They are light weight and the traction is good and they are comfortable. The seem durable and I plan on putting several hundred trail miles on them.
