Why We Like The Outline GTX Hiking Shoe

We like to hike from peak to peak, or just from the car to the campsite even, in the Outline GTX Hiking Shoe. Salomon designed this shoe to feel as though we're wearing a lightweight running shoe, but with the traction and protection of a hiking boot. A GORE-TEX Comfort membrane shields your feet from water when crossing a creek or getting rained out in an isolated storm, while the Contragrip sole provides you with the traction you need on any trail.

Waste of Money

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Used for light use on pavement, trails and grassy fields for about 2 months and they are falling apart. These things are pure garbage. There is a hole in the fabric near the toe and the fabric is shredding near the bend sight at the toes on both sides. I can not believe how horrible the quality is on these. Might as well been knock-offs bought off the street. I think the knock-offs would probably last longer. I would be scared if these were used on a weekend backpacking trip...they would probably combust. Avoid at all costs and save your money.

Light weight. Poor construction.

Lightweight and runs a bit small. Not that durable and after only a week of light use to break in, side panel is delaminating. Really disappointing and truly expected better construction.
