Miles and miles.
When you are hiking and the trail turns from dirt to mud to snow, the Salewa Wander Hiker GTX Shoe is going to keep you moving strong. Lined with Gore-Tex Extended Comfort, your feet will stay dry when you hit patches of snow or when there is an unexpected alpine shower. And on the rugged trail, soles built like tires with Michelin Wander Hiker technology will give you excellent traction on wet rocks and steep muddy inclines. - Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I have been impressed with this shoe so far. Mostly used on hikes less than ten miles long but no complaints so far. The shoe has been comfortable and has maintained great traction on a variety of surfaces. Not exactly hiking...but this is my favorite shoe to wear around town in the winter with snow on the ground. They have a casual enough look that I do not feel like I am wearing a "hiking boot" but they are also waterproof and have had great traction on snow and ice. Great shoe for the city or the trail, or both!
