Four-legged errand assistance.

You've got a special dinner party planned out with a local-foods menu, and your pup is happy to help with the shopping. The Ruffwear Commuter Dog Pack turns your eager errand assistant into an extra tote bag at the farmer's market or a self-sufficient unit during walks to the dog park. Weight-forward attached saddlebags are just the right size for stashing a bit of organic produce from local farmers or water, treats, and a chew toy or two for puppy playdates.

Solid, durable and my dog seemed comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the L/XL for my 75 lb Malamute (fit perfectly) for a 100 mile trek through the Alps . I chose this pack over the other Ruffwear packs because the fabric is a little heavier and stiffer and it holds its shape instead of being floppy ... I also think its more visually attractive than the other bright colored ones. It held a surprising amount of stuff and it seemed to be water resistant . (my dog went in a few rivers and the items in the pockets didnt get wet . we also got snowed on )

Overall im very happy with this purchase :)

In between XS and S

I ordered this for my friends Aussie who measured out right in between XS and S, (similar to the review below) and we ended up having to go with the S. fringe sizing seems to be tough to judge on this one.

My dog was in between the S and XS so I ended up buying both and kept the XS. It’s definitely not a lightweight or agile pack, but is durable and looks good. I purchased this for hikes so my pup can carry her own water and poop bags. Works great! Ruffwear makes a high quality product. Works excellent hiking with this combined with the roamed stretch leash.

How do I find out what size of pack do I need so that the pack itself would fit around
