Good boot, needs an extra lace eyelet.

Generally v good, comfortable, warm, dry and supportive, but lacing system is poor and doesn’t allow boot to be fully tightened so get some slippage in the heal.

Lots of control with warmth and comfort

I was looking for a backcountry boot that was warm and comfortable. I like to ski with my dogs on ungroomed trails in the Uinta Mountains. The BC X5 did the trick. The boot fits great; it’s warm and had the control and balance I desired. I bought a pair of the Rossignol BC 80 skis at the same time and found the skis and boots paired up nicely.
