    Switch your tactic.

When chironomids aren't producing any fish, spool up the RIO Mainstream Full Sinking Line and start working some streamers through the deeper spots of the lake. This full-sinking line has a versatile weight-forward taper with a slightly heaver design for an easy casting feel that beginner and intermediate anglers will appreciate.

    • Full sinking line ideal for fishing freshwater lakes
    • Versatile weight-forward taper with slightly heavier design
    • Welded front loop for easy and secure attachment to leader

    Get Deep

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this when fishing lakes where I need to get down deep to find bigger fish. Sinks great and gets you down where the fish are. Works well to get your streamers down. Also works well in alpine lakes to get scuds deep for bigger cruisers.

    Fast full sinking line

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    Sinks like a rock.
If you are fishing lakes or looking for a line to get down deep fast, this is the line for you.
I use it when we are trolling in lakes or streamer fishing in deep fast moving water.

    Essential for Streamer Lake Fishing

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Crucial for fishing big streamers in deep lakes. Using a full sinking line is essential to fish deep reservoirs and lakes for big lakers and other trout when they aren't up at the surface. Even during stillwater hatches, a full sinking line gets you below the smaller fish and into the bigger cruisers beneath.

I use these lines to catch fish throughout the water column. Fish cruising the middle and upper water columns tend to react positively to seeing a streamer come up from the depths. If you are looking to catch big fish, you need these lines to put flies where they are.

Fish them fast over rocks or else you will get snagged but over a sandy deep bottom and enough backing to set the running line level, these lines are perfect for getting cruisers off the bottom and getting a streamer to look like a baitfish trying to surface.
