Fat biking has its pros — getting out in the snow, sand, and mud, hitting trails when they are empty, and comfortable, plush feel as you embark on deep woods adventures. But, all of those things have one thing in common — dirty wheel spray. The engineers at Germany based Riesel Design thought things through for you, though, with their Dicker Fat Bike Front Mud Guard, allowing you to stay a little bit drier as you embark on wet adventures. Dicker — German for thicker — is designed for 26 to 27.5-inch rims, and can accommodate massive ranges of tire sizes. It mounts to either a rigid or suspension fork using four cable ties, which come along with the guard.

keeps most of the crud out of your face
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Bought a couple of these--one for the mountain bike and one for the fattie. With another mild winter, able to do some low elevation trail riding and a bunch of night riding and snowbiking. One in a while, I found some low spots with a little mud, moisture or wet snow and this does the ticket to keep it out of your face. Note--your bike and the rest of yourself won't be spared but it does a decent job of stopping the tire from throwing sand or muck in your face. Be nice if they included some zip ties for install.
Very simple design and install. These do not come with their own zip ties, and make sure you use quality ties or theyâll keep breaking. The mud guard works in keeping some of the extra debris from flinging up while riding through slush and make, but does not stop everything. Can be installed with the solid black up if you donât like the paint scheme.
