When I was shopping around for a shell, I found I didn't need anything too technical. In my opinion, 10K waterproofing is plenty resistant to the dry Utah powder.
The Paradise Anorak is a very stylish piece that could definitely be worn out on the town after lapping Brighton all day. The fit is spot on, and feels pretty tailored to my stature. One weird thing is that there is only one pit zip. The other side of the jacket simply zips down for easy entry, as this is an 'anorak' style jacket. As far as the listing of 'ACT 1' insulation goes, I don't think there is any? But I wasn't looking for insulation anyway. So it's all good. Overall, I love this jacket and can't wait for powder days to really test it out!
